Yes, I know. I sound like the crazy man afraid that Twitter is taking over. But, despite some people’s jump conclusions for the past few years calling Twitter a stupid fad, there’s a reality to the question. And here’s why.
I started blogging 5 years ago. Some of my early adopter friends had started 2-3 years before that. It was still “new” when I started. And it was the lone “free” way for a non-tech-y like myself to voice my opinion online, within a housed format. (I didn’t need programming abilities to begin.)
If you wanted a voice, this was your option. Now there are plenty. And Facebook and Twitter, the microblogs, are more mainstream now. Where they do offer limitations (<140 character opinions), they do offer the instantaneous ability to be heard.
And perhaps that’s enough for the  Twitter generation.
