After Facebook’s personal profile redesign a few months back, now it’s time for Facebook Fan Pages to get an overhaul.
In short, it makes Pages work more and more like user profiles. For instance, now you can log-in as your business or fan page, and make comments on other fan pages or your connection’s walls, as your page, and not only as your real user name. This “Login as a Page” feature has been long desired by the Facebook business community.
There are other design changes that you’ll have to get used to as well. But, it’s Facebook. We’re used to new changes we initially hate, but grow into. The loss of header tabs for the left navigation menu may be confusing for users at first. In fact, I’m slightly concerned that users won’t even know where to look for this information, and just ignore these other sections altogether. Maybe Facebook wants it that way? Whereas, most businesses still want to create traditional Web sites, simply on Facebook.
