Twitter has just released a “follow” button to more quickly follow individual tweeters across the Web. And I join in with the rest of the world saying, “This really didn’t exist before?”
Nope. There was always a “share” button, where you could share a site, article, video, link on Twitter through your own account. But now, the Twitter “follow” button allows you to 1-click follow new tweeters through the embedded site itself.
Brands. Individuals. Companies. Anyone can post this follow button on their site and increase their social connections. Twitter has launched this follow button with 50 partner sites to get the ball rolling. But again, I don’t think this feature is going to wow people. In fact, I think people might see the button and assume it’s been there for years.
