As mobile Internet use becomes more and more widespread, the Opera browser is taking advantage of it. Designed specifically for mobile, Opera has grown at an exponentially rapid place over the past year. And as of October 2010, Opera Mini had over 76.3 millions users.
This marks a 92% increase from October 2009 and a 7.1% increase, even from the previous month in September. Along with users, page views have gone up 142% in the past year, presumably because smartphones are not only growing in popularity, but becoming better equipped for Internet browsing. And Opera hopes to continue to be a part of that solution.
As more and more of the next generation uses their phone over their desktop for Internet browsing, it will be interesting to see who starts giving Opera some mobile browser competition.
