Typically, Apple events have an aura of mystery surrounding them. But with this recent event, it doesn’t even seem like Apple is trying to keep it a secret.  The invite states “Come see what 2011 will be the year of,” and shows a picture of an iPad hidden behind a calendar page with a giant number “2”.
Perhaps, the invite is clearly trying to specify that the iPad 2 will be the lone focus of the event? Still, no points for subtlety, Apple. But all the points in the world for a new and improved iPad 2! We can’t wait to see what the changes consist of. Especially now that, after creating this market, the iPad officially has a whole heap of competition.
The rumors for what’s changed from version 1 to the iPad 2? Availability through both AT&T and Verizon. Thinner. Lighter. A front-facing camera. Just enough reasons for the late adopters to feel smart they held back.
