Let’s say you’re a national or International company. You have a specific message for your Chicago clientele. You’re opening up a new retail store in the area. So, how do you let them know? You tell everyone, right? And simply be ok with the fact that the vast vast majority of your audience gets nothing out of that message?
Not any more. Now with Facebook geo-targeting capabilities, you can send specific messages to specific customers. Right before you post a status, simply click the “Everyone” drop-down and select “Customize.”
Select “Chicago, IL” and only your Facebook fans in that area will see your Chicago-centric message. How cool is that?
