Google has launched a new Google Labs project still in beta called App Inventor, designed to help non-developers create their very own Android Apps.
A giant leap in the evolving democratization of the Internet, this is undoubtedly going to cause a surge in both app creation, user adoption and overall creativity. Plus, the Android will continue its hold on being the most personalized platform for mobile use.
“To use App Inventor, you do not need to be a developer,” explains Google. “App Inventor requires NO programming knowledge. This is because instead of writing code, you visually design the way the app looks and use blocks to specify the app’s behavior.”
It will be interesting to see if Apple and other competitors follow Google’s lead or get frightened away by the possibilities of user freedom.
