The Google “Goggles” app is now available in the iTunes app store. And it’s ridiculously awesome.
While still in experimental Labs status, you can see the incredible potential this app has. For example, hold up your phone to a landmark building in your area, and Google Goggles will scan the image, find information on the building, and instantly present it back to you.
Curious about a book you’re looking at in a book store? Goggles that book, and be taken to Amazon book reviews and pricing information. Traveling in a foreign country, and unsure of a foreign language phrase you see? Keep the translation dictionary in your pocket. Simply pull out your phone, snap a photo with Google Goggles, and you’ll see your translation.
The possibilities are endless. And this is going to be huge. Way to go, Google.
