When you learn about Fridge, the company Google just bought, it’s hard to understand exactly what can offer that Circles doesn’t already do.
But, that’s coming from someone who, until today, had never heard of Fridge. And if Google sees a technological advantage in Fridge’s proprietary knowledge, as someone whose favorite part of Google + is Circles, as it is, I couldn’t be more excited.
Fridge clearly marketed itself as the social network for people who didn’t want to have censor themselves, in the fears of certain friends being offended. If a name like Google creates this, we could see a quick adoption of people tired of “how big” Facebook has gotten.
