No one likes their health insurance company. The lack of transparency. The lack of trust. Knowing that you’re not on the same team. So, doesn’t social media go against all of these things?
Perhaps. And perhaps that’s why Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is starting to utilize it. To change the game. To change the image. This project, is about how to share ideas and rein in medical costs from all angles, including insurance, attorneys, doctors, hospitals, pharmaceuticals and the individuals. Start a thread, and the social community can interact with your idea, including members of Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina.
This is undoubtedly a bold and risky venture. And if it’s just a dog-and-pony show, with zero chance of any of these ideas actually moving up the flagpole, it’s pointless. But, if this is a legitimate effort toward communication, well done.
