Figure out how to rank first on Bing, and you’re automatically first on Yahoo.
It’s just one result of the recent Microsoft-Yahoo merger. Similar to Yahoo! Search Marketing, Microsoft’s adCenter will determine your ad rank based on several factors, including bid amount, ad relevance and click-through rate.
With each company continuing their own search experience, there may be some variance in the number of ads displayed on different page locations between the two sites. But in terms of ranking, they will be identical.
Advertisers can expect to be contacted through email with transition tools and tips as the launch date gets closer. And they are warning users to beware of phishing emails looking to take advantage of the transition. Yahoo will never ask for private information, including credit card information or log-in password through email.
